Building Your Personal Coffee Bar at Home

If you are a caffeine enthusiast and you have taken the time to learn how to make all sorts of coffee beverages, then you will definitely appreciate having a bar of your own at home. First, determine the exact spot where you would like to have your coffee bar. Would it be in the dining room, living room, patio, or any other place in the house? Make sure it has a lot of space to move around and is big enough to accommodate a counter.

Once you have determined the place, locate where you will place the main piece. Since the bar needs a shelving unit, you will want to choose one with the same proportions as the counter. Look for something that is large enough to accommodate your supplies and equipment. You can make one of your own to perfectly fit the area where you will put up the bar.

Now, you will have to install the bar and the shelf. Have another person in the household or a friend help you with determining the right level of the shelf. Keep in mind that there should be enough room for both parts to allow proper function. Use screws to drill the shelving unit in its place. You can use hooks at the bottom of the fixture so you can hang cups there. Make sure though that they are drilled properly to ensure they do not fall off. Moreover, you will also need to make sure that the coffee maker is within reach, so you can work around the bar more conveniently. Aside from that, you can also use antique containers or cups and saucers to add a touch of class in your personal coffee haven.
